Charleston with kids
Charming. Southern. Delightful. Charleston, South Carolina could not be more hospitable for an East Coast family beach vacation. From the friendly locals to the lowcountry shrimp and grits.
Of course, we had to find the beach! And in Charleston, each one has its own personality, Folly Beach with its fluffy white sand and Sullivan's Island with the wide expanse of gray, muddy sand filled with tide pools for splashing.
There is so much to do, see and EAT in Charleston that we could have spent many more days exploring this beautiful Southern gem. The fountains at Waterfront Park allow wading and our little. adventurers loved cooling off this way. We stayed at the Embassy Suites on Museum Row. The rooms were good, but the fact that the hotel itself looks like a castle made it so much fun to come back to after a long day!
